China Commodities City Group has decided to hold a promoting show in Dubai for Yiwu Fair 2009 together with Global Sources next June. Officials say that there will be about 200 Yiwu enterprises participate in it. The show is themed with “Made in China, Sourcing in Yiwu” and aims to introduce exhibitors of Yiwu Fair and products made in Yiwu to the world. Organizers plan to set up 200 booths with 3600 m2 exhibition area to display home products, crafts, gifts, jewelries and other featured products of Yiwu Fair.
The 200 exhibitors that going to attend the show on 14-16 June, 2009 will receive subsidies from local government. China Commodities City Group, as the administration of Yiwu market, will also provide supports for enterprises going to attend the show.
As a trading center of UAE and even the Middle East, Dubai has a special influence towards the Middle East, North Africa and South European markets. The overseas show of Yiwu Fair is an important step of the city’s “walk out” strategy and was expected to enhance its international level and influence in foreign countries. It is also a new platform for Yiwu enterprises to explore international markets.
Since 2006, China Commodities City Group had participated in overseas business to help Yiwu manufacturers to attend trade shows in foreign countries. The group has already organized 120 enterprises to exhibit in 21 different trade shows in the past two years. Those activities were believed to increase the popularity of Yiwu market outside China.
