On June 26th, more than 20 students from University of California (UC) came to Yiwu and visited the local Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital with the purpose to learn to practice traditional Chinese medicine. These foreign medical students showed great interest in Chinese massage, cupping therapy, acupuncture and Chinese traditional treatment of stroke, the quintessence of traditional Chinese medicine. They raised many interesting questions while watching Chinese doctors doing medical demonstrations. As illustrated by the photo, Chen Yufei, the chief of Chinese Massage and Acupuncture Center of Yiwu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, is practicing mild moxibustion therapy on a patient while some foreign students are observing and learning.
