In addition to tourists by self-driving tour, the average daily passenger flow in Yiwu City hit 100,000 person-times. In the wake of the May Day, number of tourists in Yiwu City continued increasing. Shopping tour and exotic charm in trade and commerce area have become a golden business card for Yiwu City’s tourism originality. However, numerous merchants at home and abroad and local residents have more requirements to Yiwu City’s tourism market. “Sightseeing places in Yiwu are few”, Mr. Lv from Heilongjiang Province was quoted as saying. “I ordered products in Yiwu City with my families, and we planned to enjoy family time in Yiwu, but we have nothing to do but appreciate products in the market”, said Mr. Lv. “As a matter of fact, Yiwu City’s tourism resources are abundant and characteristic”, Chen Jiangwei said: “Shuanglin Temple in Fotang, Qijiajun Memorial in Chi’an, Danxi Cemetery, and Shanxi Mountain Huangshan Bamian Hall can be merged into the shopping and sightseeing spot. They have remarkable strong points in location, and every sightseeing spot is unique and diversified, so they can constitute Yiwu City’s image and brand to satisfy tourists”. If there is little originality in six tourism elements “food, accommodation, transportation, tour, shopping, and entertainment”, Yiwu’s tourism industry will be unique. Such “Industrial Tour Experience” is right one of the tourism originality projects that are being planned by Yiwu Tourism Bureau. “To convert Yiwu City’s urban public products and ecological resources into attractive tourism products, we should leverage diverse methods (like scenery, glamour, theme, leisure, and experience-oriented means) to create such products as shopping tour, exhibition tour, business tour, cultural tour, ecological leisure tour, and experience & leisure tour etc.”, a leader of the Municipal Tourism Bureau was quoted as saying. On the ground of this, the Municipal Tourism Bureau organized special survey and research in respect of accelerating the development of the tourism, leisure, and holiday industry, and now, it has made preliminary development plan so as to strongly develop and expand the tourism originality industries like urban tourism, rural tourism, cultural tourism, ecological leisure tourism, and red tourism etc., as well as to continuously optimize the industry configurations and services. By now, tourism in Yiwu City is only renowned by the shopping tour, thus its mode awaits innovation and transformation. Experts said: trade economy, exhibition economy, and tourism economy have become Yiwu City’s three major economic sections that mutually spur and influence one another. Today, the growth rate of trade economy and exhibition economy in Yiwu City is far higher than that of the tourism economy. Resources are limited but originalities are boundless, and now, the Municipal Tourism Bureau has made innovative planning and diversified development scheme for the tourism industry, which is bound to become the “Power” driving the growth of the tertiary industry in Yiwu City and boost Yiwu economy’s strategic transformation, with the result that the tourism will become Yiwu City’s third golden business card in the wake of the trade and exhibition.
