In the 8th evaluation report on economic basic competitive force and scientific development of China’s counties released in Zengcheng, Guangzhou city on July 6th, 2008. Yiwu is among top ten, as well as Cixi, Shaoxing and Yuyao.
It is reported that 2001 county-level economic units participated in the 8th evaluation on economic basic competitive force and scientific development of China’s counties. And regional economic powerful group of Jiangyin, Kunshan, Zhangjiagang and Changshu of Jiangsu Province took the first place. The next are Wujiang of Jiangsu Province, Cixi and Shaoxing of Zhejiang Province, Taicang of Jiangsu Province, Jinjiang of Fujian Province, Yixing of Jiangsu Province, Yiwu and Yuyao of Zhejiang Province, Rongcheng of Shandong Province. Compared with the 7th evaluation report, the 8th list of top ten powerful counties is the same as the last one. (Rita)
7月6日，第八屆全國縣域經濟基本競爭力與科學發展評價報告在廣州增城市揭曉，義烏與慈溪、紹興、余姚一起名列前十。
參加第八屆全國縣域經濟基本競爭力評價的縣域經濟單位共計2001個。本屆全國縣域經濟百強縣(市)評比的前10名是：江蘇江陰市、昆山市、張家港市、常熟市4個縣級市作為“區域經濟強縣組團”獲得並列第一名，其他依次是江蘇吳江市、浙江慈溪市、浙江紹興縣、江蘇太倉市、福建晉江市、江蘇宜興市、浙江義烏市、浙江余姚市、山東榮成市。經過對照發現，位列第八屆全國縣域經濟百強縣前10名的縣(市)排名與第七屆完全相同。
