Recently, Yiwu City convened the Central Business District (CBD) Phase II Urban Design Experts Evaluation and Examination Meeting. At the meeting, the Urban Planning & Design Institute of ShenZhen gave an introduction to Yiwu CBD Phase II Urban Design Scheme from different aspects like overall design philosophy, functional layout, land utilization, and road traffic. After that, relevant principals of the Municipal Construction Bureau, the Bureau of Land and Resources, the Development and Reform Bureau, and the Public Security Bureau etc., in tandem with architecture design and urban planning design experts of Shanghai City and Zhejiang Province, had a hot debate on some specific issues, such as reasonability of the functional layout, construction of the urban rail transit, the utilization of underground space and the layout of public service facilities etc.
