A few days ago, Song Yinghao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yiwu Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Yiwu, led persons in charge of relevant departments to the traffic police brigade for surveying and guiding the downtown traffic management work in Yiwu.
After having learning about the relevant information from the persons in charge, Song noted that the situation of urban traffic would be more severe in the wake of economic and social development, thus the traffic police brigade should raise ideological understanding and intensify traffic management. Firstly, meticulously investigate and get familiar with the construction of road infrastructure in downtown, and work out complete implementation plans for construction of dead-end roads, multi-dimensional traffic planning and parking area planning; secondly, enhance the distribution of urban functional areas for easing the traffic conflicts, accelerate the construction of the residential areas in northern downtown, relocate logistics fields in the downtown, construct hypermarkets on the periphery of the downtown and distribute the functions of the city center; thirdly, meticulously study traffic organization for further imposing restrictions on truck pass in downtown and practicing the new parking charge system and off-duty shift system; fourthly, improve the urban routing system, learn and assimilate the advanced practices of large cities like Shanghai to ensure the continuity, effectiveness and integrity of the routing system; lastly, increase input in public traffic, conduct studies of urban and rural integrated public traffic and improve service quality to meet travelers’ traffic demands.
