As one of the recommended scenic spots of Shanghai Expo, Yiwu International Trade Mart has attracted many visitors both from domestic provinces and foreign countries. Till August 30, 2010, Yiwu International Trade Mart have received 393 batches of 8715 visitors, in which the overseas visitors were accounting for 90%.
In every weekends, the west parking lots of the 2nd District, Yiwu International Trade Mart and the Tourism Shopping Center is always crowded with tourism buses from Shanghai Expo. Onccc interviewed some tourist, and they expresses that after it was a good choice to go shopping in Yiwu commodities wholesale market after finishing visiting Shanghai Expo.
Since Shanghai Expo started since May, 2010, many travel agencies have chosen Yiwu as an indispensable stop for tourism shopping, and the tourism economy came into a peak in summer vacation.
It is known that the foreign tourists are mainly from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Canada, etc.
