Yiwu Municipal Committee proposed a new long-term development goal on its 4th session of the 12th plenary meeting opened yesterday.
Yiwu is determined to build an international trade center of small commodities and improve its market system. The city will make efforts to attract suppliers, importers, exporters, wholesalers and retail giants in order to transform Yiwu to be the most influential distribution center, information center of small commodities in the world.
Yiwu is also striving to establish an international creative center of small commodities and foster its creative industry in order to strengthen manufacturing, innovation ability and international competitiveness. Yiwu city will esteem intellectual property right and build research & development center to design small commodities.
Beside, Yiwu has planned to become an exhibition center of small commodities by relying on outstanding exhibition facilities, service and famous tradeshow organizations. The government will organize high-level conventions and trade shows regularly in Yiwu.
In order to have easy access to logistics service, Yiwu is building an all-round transport network consists of highway, railway and air freight. Many competent logistic companies have set their offices in Yiwu to provide modern logistic service.
