It is learned from Yiwu City Port that after being approved by the National Port Administration Office, Yiwu City will again put the Yiwu-Hong Kong Non-stop Airline into running during August 25th to December 31st, which is the fourth time for Yiwu Civil Airport to resume the airline since it kicked off the Yiwu-Hong Kong Non-stop Airline in 2007. During the airline running process, one scheduled flight will shuttle respectively on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Of which, the scheduled flight will take off at 8:30 o’clock in Yiwu City, and arrive at Hong Kong at 10:30 o’clock. In Hong Kong, the scheduled flight’s homeward bound time is 11:30 o’clock, and it will arrive at Yiwu City at 13:30 o’clock, with scheduled flight being respectively numbered CZ649 and CZ650. Moreover, the running period in this year will be extended from three months to four months. Source said that after the airline has been put into running, passengers would be offered preferential ticket price in the event of group travel. Statistics revealed that during January to June this year, foreign merchants in Yiwu City hit 200,735 person-times, up 39.1% from the corresponding period of last year; overseas merchants through Yiwu Airport rocketed to 76,137 person-times, representing a year-on-year increase of 13%. With the holding of large-scale expositions like China Yiwu International Commodities Fair in the second half of this year, more and more tourists and merchants will come and go between Yiwu and Hong Kong. Since Yiwu Airport put the Yiwu-Hong Kong Non-stop Airline into running, passenger load factor of the airline increased year by year over past three years. Last year, for instance, the airline launched 52 scheduled flights (104 flights) and transported passengers of 8,464 person-times, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%, with average passenger load factor hitting 67.8%, an increase of 9.1% as compared to corresponding period of last year. Running of the Yiwu-Hong Kong Non-stop Airline will help attract more Chinese and foreign merchants & tourists to purchase petty commodities and shop in Yiwu, which will promote Yiwu market’s unceasing prosperity, further expand Yiwu City’s open-up, and boost the fast-rate growth of Yiwu City’s contemporary service industries like tourism, exhibition, logistics and finance, according to the principal of Yiwu City Port.
