According to the municipal science & technology bureau, the State Intellectual Property Office has issued an official document approving Yiwu as a national model city in intellectual property, making it the only county-level city in the province. Since being approved to build a national pilot city in intellectual property in October 2007, Yiwu has centered on enterprises and market dealers, aimed to enhance the city’s overall innovation capacity, started from institutional building improvement, actively advanced the implementation of the intellectual property strategy, increased the innovation capacity of enterprises and intensified intellectual property protection to open up a road of pilot intellectual property work with Yiwu’s characteristics.
