Recently, the Little Village Official Fan Jingwei was busying himself in drafting the “Villages & Villagers Map” in front of the computer, and he said that to do well the drafting work, he had traveled through all corners of the Construction Community of Beiyuan Street. “It is actually a tough mission to miniaturize all relevant information on this map”. It is learned that in light of the Organization Department of Yiwu Municipal Committee’s uniform arrangement, each of 500 Little Village Officials in Yiwu City should draft a “Villages & Villagers Map” for the village he or she serves. “It will begin at the end of March and come to the end at the end of June, and the examination results will serve as the important basis to evaluate village officials’ annual work”, said Lou Xiaodong, Executive Vice Director of the Talents Office of Organization Department of Yiwu Municipal Committee. As a matter of fact, drafting of the “Villages & Villagers Map” is only a kind of carrier and means to make the Little Village Officials keep close to the grassroots level and serve the people. It is learned that the “Villages & Villagers Map” was firstly drafted at the Yiting Township. As early as the first half of last year, Yiwu City launched “Villages & Villagers Map” drafting pilot work at the Yiting Township, and it actively guided Little Village Officials to have further knowledge to the people’s livelihood and public opinions through the “Enquire 100 Households, Know well 100 Households’ Daily Life, and Draft Village Information Map” activity, in addition to offering basis for township & street leaders’ decision. The pilot work achieved favorable effect. In particular, it played a significant role to Yiwu City’s municipal management (like dengue prevention and control, and safety production grid management) in last year. As per the pilot work experience, the Organization Department of Yiwu Municipal Committee required that 500 Little Village Officials in Yiwu City should complete the drafting to the “Villages & Villagers Map” in their jurisdiction by the end of June. On the basis of learning about factors like village (resident) landform, residential building, and traffic roads, Little Village Officials should mark all households’ relevant information like family status, political background, and household income etc., in addition to highlighting CPC members’ households, party branch committee and village committee, needy households, and enterprises etc with different striking colors.
