Yiwu is listed among China Most Information-based Cities 2008-2009 released a few days ago.
To reflect the information construction nationwide objectively from an authoritative perspective， China Information Times， a national authoritative media in this respect， will monitor the media’s reports on the informatization of 283 prefecture-level cities， 369 county-level cities and 856 municipal districts all around China from this year， and issue an annual list of the cities that attract the most attention in informatization on the basis of authoritative media’s attention to each city (district)’s information construction.
According to sources， the mass media involved in such monitoring include People Daily， Farmer Daily， China Information Times， and the websites of the Central People’s Government，National Development and Reform Commission，Ministry of Industry and Information Technology，Ministry of Commerce， and China Informatization (www.ciia.org.cn).
