Statistics from the Yiwu Administration for Industry and Commerce shows that the market turnover in first quarter realized 11.306 billion yuan，up 14.17% over the same period of last year，and the volume of China Comodity City (CCC for short) was 7.737 billion yuan，a year-on-year increase of 7.56%.
In the past 3 months，Yiwu has good news despite the cloudy world economy. In January，the volume of business was 4.32 billion yuan，up 32.68% over that of last year，which made a good start. In Feburary，the numbers including market turnover，self-operated exit and entry，and export containers through Custom were all decreasing at different degree. But in March，the whole situation began to turn around. The volume of business of CCC in March reached 2.781 billion yuan，up 14.4% from that of Feburary，which was the new high of export this year.
Since the latter half of last year，with the theme of ‘open the market’ and ‘serve the firms’，CPC Yiwu Committee and Yiwu government and other relevant departments have tried all ways to motivate the market，and to help enterprises & dealers solve the financial problem. They promote markets and firms to transform or upgrade，encourage them to convert development mode and advise them to pay more attention to e-business.
Yiwu Administration for Industry and Commerce realized registration system of floating charge with movable property in enterprises，enlarging financing about 100 million yuan. Various financial institutions also strengthened the support for the small to medium firms，timely supplying pledge loan with the use right of CCC booths，and held bank-government-enterprise meeting for many times，adding credit degree to many firms. It is learned that this year the newly-added loan will amount to 15 billion yuan.
The General Customs Administration made policies of tourism shopping and simplified classification in accordance with Yiwu’s real situations. Hangzhou Custom，cooperated with Zhejiang e-port，developed regional containers and logistics linkage system for Yiwu commmodity export，starting out new clearance mode of railway-to-sea transportation of commodities. Jinhua Custom put forward clearance logistics control system，making the time of containers clearance shortened by at least one hour. Yiwu set up the first foreign trade warning platform，dealing with the trade barriers and protections in the process of goods export. All these measures urged the foreign trade and contributed to the growth of market turnover.
