From Dec.9 to 11, the Second Yiwu Labor Protection Products Fair was held in Yiwu International Expo Center. In three days, it attracted more than 2,300 purchasing agents, more than 90% of whom being foreign buyers. We were informed that this fair was among the five top fairs of the same kind.

Recently, the overall design scheme of specific commodity code was discussed by experts from the Municipal Office, the Custom Office and other relevant departments. Experts from the Distribution Productivity Promotion Center of China Commerce which took charge of developing and designing the scheme said that they would make further revision and improvement after absorbing different suggestions.

"It is an important achievement made by the construction of electronic surveillance system in Yiwu. The system provides us with all-round supervision over the administrative examination and approval, and law enforcement of relevant departments anytime and anywhere." the officer told us.

After two year's preparation, Yiwu Charity Associations of all 13 towns and streets finally come into being. From now on, people in straitened circumstances in Yiwu can go straight to the charity agencies of town governments or street offices to apply for charity relief.

Next year is a post-financial crisis era, a crucial year for our city to seize the development opportunities, and a key period for the overall transition and upgrade of the city’s economy and coordination of the comprehensive development of urban and rural areas. As many as 141 civil servants from Yiwu Municipal Government, different townships and other resources took part in an exam at Yiwu Municipal Communist Party School for chances to be promoted to mid-level government positions. The written exam covers two subjects, namely Public Knowledge and Explaining-expounding Capacity. Those candidates with high scores, about 21 persons, will be qualified for a second-round interview on December 9. 

 More than 800 new trademarks in the second half of this year, according to Yiwu Industrial and Commerce Administration, have been registered. The total number of registered trademarks in Yiwu has reached 23,277 up to date, in which 74 have been recognized as national well-known trademarks (6 of them have been recognized by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce), 77 as provincial well-known trademarks, and 200 as well-known ones in Jinhua City. 

  “In order to deepen the reform of primary-school teaching, we have started the “Half-hour Class” Program from the previous semester, which is proved to be a simple but effective way in improving classroom teaching efficiency,” Ye Lixin, Deputy Director of Education Sciences Department under Yiwu Education Institute, said proudly. It is a practice developed in the process of Yiwu classroom teaching reform, and Yiwu education authority has recognized this new teaching method in the recent document titled On Further Deepening Reform in Primary School Teaching and Relieving Burden on Students, in which the education authority officially promoted the Half-hour Class mode and asked schools to practice this new mode.

It is learned that the reconstruction from December 1 to 10mainly focuses on the surface of the road . From December 10to 15，a 13cm-thick layer of asphalt will be put on Huangyuan Road .
